AMD has officially launched its 5th-generation EPYC processor, codenamed "Turin," and Hugging Face has promptly published a blog post detailing the deep collaboration between the two companies in the AI domain. As large language models (LLMs) become more widespread, while GPUs remain the dominant source of compute, high-performance CPUs are playing an increasingly critical role in edge computing, privacy-sensitive scenarios, and inference and fine-tuning of small-to-medium-sized models.
