LeMaterial：Hugging Face 推出開源倡議，加速材料發現與科學研究

Hugging Face officially launched an open-source initiative called "LeMaterial" — a major project aimed at using artificial intelligence to accelerate materials discovery and scientific research. Traditionally, discovering new materials with specific properties (such as materials for next-generation batteries, semiconductors, or superconductors) requires years or even decades of experimentation and costly density functional theory (DFT) calculations. LeMaterial was created precisely to address this bottleneck, bringing modern AI techniques — particularly geometric deep learning and graph neural networks — into the field of materials science.
