Hugging Face has officially launched a brand-new command-line interface tool called `hf`, designed to provide AI developers worldwide with a faster, more intuitive, and more user-friendly experience when interacting with the Hugging Face Hub. In the past, developers primarily relied on `huggingface-cli` for downloading, uploading, and managing models, datasets, and Spaces. However, the commands of the older tool were sometimes verbose, and there was still room for improvement in transfer performance and user feedback when handling large language model (LLM) files ranging from tens to hundreds of gigabytes.
